Characteristics of silicone elastomer
Poly-siloxane (silicone, HTV) has high stability at low and high temperatures (from -40º to +240º C). It suffers virtually no degradation from external attacks when used outdoors, for example from sun, rain, wind, etc. It has better properties of all kinds than any other elastomer.
Silicone is a good insulator at any temperature, does not conduct electricity and has high elasticity and tear resistance. Silicone is also a water-repellent product.
It can be manufactured to order for different resistances to extreme temperatures (from -80 to +320). It can also be manufactured to withstand contact with different fluids, such as H2O2 or H2O vapour.
